Located in Kahului on the island of Maui, Maui Community College was established in 1996 to serve the local community.

Energy Industries provided Maui Community College with a campus-wide lighting retrofit of 1,600 fixtures. Energy Industries achieved a 39% reduction in energy consumption by replacing T12 lamps and magnetic ballasts with T8 lamps and electronic ballasts. In addition to saving 186,000 kWh every year, Maui Community College received a $14,800 rebate from Maui Electric Company.
