Welcome to Energy Industries

January 1, 2005 - The Kaanapali Beach Hotel - Kaanapali, Hawaii

Opened in 1964, the Kaanapali Beach Hotel was only the 3rd property to be built in the world's first master planned resort of Kaanapali. This 430 room resort property includes a vareity of different room style layouts in the heart of Kaanapali on Maui's Lahaina Coast. From the time it opened, the property has earned and maintained its reputation as a great value and has become a vacation hot spot for travelers around the globe.

On July 2004, Energy Industries was hired to help the property save energy. Beginning its work on a feasibility study, EI identified 16 different energy conservation measures which included lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, commissioning and other energy systems. Once completed a short list of measures was selected and Phase 1 was installed by EI's self performing construction and maintenance teams. The bar chart below reflects the energy savings results of this project on a daily average kWh basis.

Year to Date, EI is surpassing its energy savings projections to the property, has attained a 20% utility rebate to offset the inital project costs, and is achieving an average of 33% cost savings from the pre-project electrical bill. Currently EI is in the process of installing all remaining ECMs in its Phase 2 work.
